Vu Hai Ha, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee, said that during Mr. Hue’s visit to Cuba, the leaders of the two National Assemblies will sign an agreement establishing an inter-parliamentary cooperation mechanism to enhance the exchange of operational experience and mutual support at regional and global forums.

Chairman Hue will deliver a statement at the Cuban National Assembly on Wednesday, Mr. Ha said, adding that Mr. Hue will express solidarity with the Cuban people, share experiences from Vietnam's renewal, and affirm that the two countries will stand side by side for independence, freedom, peace, and the development of each country.

The Mexican press on Sunday discussed the implications of Chairman Hue’s visit.

La Jornada, Mexico's leading left-wing newspaper, said the visits clearly demonstrate Vietnam's commitment and desire to strengthen multi-faceted relations with the three countries, not just through parliamentary foreign affairs, but also in the overall foreign policy of Vietnam, which prioritizes friendly relations with traditional partners in Latin America.

Mexico’s 7th-ranked Spanish-language daily said the traditional friendly relationship between Vietnam and Latin American countries stems from similarities they share in the history of national liberation struggles.

Regeneración, the political media channel of the ruling Morena party in Mexico, reviewed the history of the struggle for national liberation and the outstanding achievements Vietnam has gained in its renewal and socio-economic development.

Voces Del Periodista, an academic forum and the voice of Mexican journalists, said the 15th National Assembly of Vietnam for the 2021-2026 tenure led by Mr. Hue shows the characteristics of an innovative and effective parliamentary model. The paper said the National Assembly of Vietnam has worked with the Government to contribute to the overall success of “vaccine diplomacy” to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
