NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue calls on Indonesian businesses to expand operation in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue met with Indonesian businesses on Saturday during his official visit to Indonesia.

At a meeting with Chairman of Ciputra Group Budiarsa Sastrawinata, Chairman Hue praised the Group’s performance with a capital of nearly 3 billion USD, particularly the group’s trading and real estate services as well as its social security activities. He expressed hope that Ciputra will expand its operation in Vietnam to other fields and mobilize other investors to set up socio-economic development value chains in each country.

Meeting Michael Jizhar, Vice Chairman of Modena group, Mr. Hue highlighted the group’s initial success in Vietnam. Mr. Michael Jizhar said his group is planning to build an electronic and home appliance factory in Vietnam. As a leading brand name for home appliances and electronic products in Indonesia, Modena has a distribution network covering more than 92 countries around the world. Entering Vietnam in 2018, the group hopes to expand its operation in renewable energy and electric vehicle production in the coming time.

At a meeting with the leaders of Traveloka, Mr. Hue praised the group’s strategy in Vietnam and hoped the group would take a lead in enhancing cooperation with Vietnamese businesses. He said the Vietnamese National Assembly and government pledged favorable conditions for businesses in line with law.

The leaders of Traveloka praised Vietnam’s potential of tourism and e-commerce and pledge stronger  cooperation with localities to accelerate digital transformation in tourism.
