NA Chairwoman continues official visit to Kazakhstan

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has reiterated the Assembly’s support for the win-win cooperation between the governments of Vietnam and Kazakhstan and called for Kazakhstan’s favorable conditions for Vietnamese investors.

During her ongoing official visit to Kazakhstan on Tuesday, Ms. Ngan greeted Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev and informed him of the outcomes of her talks with the Chairman of the Parliament’s Lower House, Nurlan Nigmatulin. The two agreed on measures to strengthen cooperation between the two legislative bodies. Ms. Ngan said she hopes both countries will continue information exchanges for better understanding and mutual assistance in multilateral forums.

Prime Minister Sagintayev hailed the visit by Chairwoman Ngan and the Vietnamese delegation on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-Kazakhstan diplomatic ties. He recognized the positive outcomes of their economic and trade partnership since the two signed the Vietnam-Eurasian Free Trade Agreement, but said the outcomes have not meet the potentials and strengths of each country and called for more effective measures to exploit the deal.

On Tuesday, Ms. Ngan met with Abraruly Kul Mukhammed, Deputy Chairman of the ruling Nur Otan Party. She said Vietnam always remembers Kazakhstan’s support for its national liberation, unification, construction, and development and she hopes that the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Nur Otan Party will continue to promote their exchange and consultation mechanisms.

Mr. Mukhammed said Kazakhstan considers Vietnam a close friend and hopes to enhance cooperation with the Communist Party of Vietnam for the two peoples’ benefit.
