(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly Standing Committee on Tuesday passed a resolution approving the addition of 24.2 million USD to the budget estimates for rice for the national reserve.
The purchase will be made to replace the rice the Government has taken from the national reserve to distribute to natural disasters victims, help the poor, and provide international aid.
The approval followed a Government report delivered by Finance Minister Dinh Tien Dung at the NA Standing Committee’s 19th meeting.
