At the 14th session in Hanoi on Wednesday, Committee members said the membership will facilitate simplifying and harmonizing temporary admission procedures, and assist management agencies in overseeing temporary imports and re-exports and vice-versa.  Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong said the Standing Committee agreed with the proposal and called on the government to issue related regulations once the Convention membership process is completed.

The Standing Committee commented on a proposal to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for implementing the Greater Mekong Subregion Cross-Border Transport Agreement. They said the signing of the MoU is necessary as it is in line with the 2013 Constitution.

The National Assembly Standing Committee also discussed the draft revised law on anticorruption, which has a separate chapter on clarifying assets and incomes.
