National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung called for preparations for the 132nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU 132) to be completed. He asked the organizing committee to coordinate with the IPU’s Secretariat, the relevant ministries and sectors, and Hanoi’s authorities to ensure the event’s success, contributing to elevating the global status of Vietnam and its National Assembly. He said that IPU 132’s agenda should represent Vietnam’s spirit and identity to assert that Vietnam is an active and responsible member of the global community. Mr. Hung said: “This is an opportunity to introduce Vietnam’s image to the world and step up our international integration. The resolutions of debates should convey Vietnam’s message of peace, culture, history, friendliness, spirit of cooperation, and amicable relations with other countries.”

Tran Van Hang, deputy head of the organizing committee, said preparations concerning communications, protocol, security, and healthcare for the event have been completed. The Vietnam News Agency, the Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam Television, and other media agencies have been showing Vietnam’s preparations.
