(VOVworld) – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan laid a wreath at the Mahatma Gandhi Monument on Friday, paying tribute to the great leader of India.

She wrote in the memorial book: “The Vietnamese people admire the great career of Mahatma Gandhi, a preeminent leader of the Indian people, an undaunted fighter for national liberation movements all over the world. His ideals, thought, and soul are an eternal symbol and an endless inspiration for the people of India, Vietnam, and the rest of the world.”

Later, Ms. Ngan visited India’s parliament building, attended a meeting of the Indian Lower House and Senate, and visited the parliament museum.
