National Assembly debates revised law on Public Debt Management

(VOVWORLD) - National assembly deputies have agreed that public debt should not include debts of state owned enterprises, debts of public service agencies, and debts incurred by the State Bank of Vietnam to implement monetary policies. 

The consensus was reached at Friday’s National Assembly on the revised law on public debt management.

Deputy Bui Thanh Tung from Hai Phong said: "The drafting board should have detailed assessment on the status of the state budget, payment of state owned businesses’ debts. It’s also necessary to clarify debts in capital construction by local authorities."

The deputies said it’s essential for ministries and sectors to submit to the government and the National Assembly their annual plan on capital use.

Later the same day, the National Assembly debated the revised Law on Denunciation. Deputies said the law should clearly define anonymous denunciation, supplement forms of denunciation, and provide measures to protect denunciators.
