National Assembly discusses the Draft Law on Judicial Assessment

(VOVworld) – NA Deputies today discussed the Draft Law on Judicial Assessment. They agreed upon the need for changes to some policies to perfect the judicial assessment mechanism, facilitate procedures, and ensure benefits of the government, individuals, and organizations involved in civil procedures and contentious administrative matters.
Delegates reached a consensus on the promulgation of the Law on Judicial Assessement which will serve as a firm legal foundation to improve the quality and efficiency of judicial assessment activities. However, opinions are divided on the socialization of judicial assessment activities. Tran Van Tan who represents the southern province of Tien Giang, offers his view: "I suggest that there should be certain limits on the socialization of judicial assessment activities in the current period to ensure the Law’s feasibility once it is approved. I support the idea that non-public judical assessment organizations should only be founded to work in the fields of finance, banking, construction, antique, relics and copyritght."
