(VOVworld) – Politburo member and Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong chaired on Monday a session of the organizing board of the 132^nd Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU) General Assembly slated for March 2015 in Vietnam.

Phong stressed the importance of the event for Vietnam, urging organizers to select competent personnel, who could work at the assembly. She also called for the completion of financial estimates and the implementation of international agreements on organizing the IPU, entry-exit procedures and safety for the meeting. A report on main topic of the discussions, themed “Parliament and sustainable development agenda after 2015”, will be finalized before being submitted to the Politburo.
