(VOVworld) – The national program on new rural development has seen initial successes, with many lessons learnt after 3 years of implementation. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh was speaking at a conference chaired by PM Nguyen Tan Dung in Hanoi on Friday to review the program’s performance until now and to devise plans for next year. He reiterated the program’s significance being the most important task and the solution to implement the 7th Party Central Committee Resolution on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas. Ninh said: "New rural development has become a nationwide movement led by the whole political system and has received the people’s full support and engagement. Our imminent goal is to have 20% of communes qualified for the new rural development requirements. Although this is not an easy job, we’re determined to achieve the best possible results."
