As the COVID-19 pandemic rages on, the Command of Navy Zone 4 has been very cautious as it prepares and delivers Tet goods to islanders to ensure utmost safety.

Colonel Nguyen Thien Quan,  Deputy Commander of Nazy Zone 4, said, “Food safety and hygiene is our top priority. Sailors onboard were tested for the coronavirus and quarantined. Albeit all the hardships, we are sure that Truong Sa soldiers and civilians will have sufficient Tet goods for a cozy, safe celebration.”

Four ships are carrying hundreds tons of food and Tet specialties to islands belonging to Truong Sa archipelago, including kumquat trees, apricot blossoms, green wrapping leaves, sticky rice, pork, chicken, and confectionaries.

Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Xuan Huan, who has celebrated several Tet occasions on Truong Sa archipelago, said, “What we get are not just goods but also love sent from the mainland, which is always sacred to our soldiers based on Truong Sa archipelago. We look forward to the days when Tet draws near to feel the warmth of love and know that we are not far away from the mainland.”

When the ships dock in, spring arrives to Truong Sa archipelago – Vietnam’s sacred territory.
