New York continues to lead financial centers index

(VOVWORLD) - New York City continues to maintain its position as the world's largest financial center among 133 cities evaluated, according to the thirty-fifth edition of the Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI) published on Thursday.

London comes second, ahead of Singapore in third place, which has maintained its slight lead over Hong Kong in fourth position. San Francisco remains at number five, with Shanghai overtaking Los Angeles in sixth place, with the latter dropping to eighth.

GFCI is a report conducted twice a year by the London-based consulting organization Z/Yen Group in collaboration with the China Development Institute, based on a survey of more than 2,500 global financial services professionals.
