Nguyen Thi That wins Asian Road Cycling Championships

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam's cyclist Nguyen Thi That on Monday won a gold medal in the women’s 109 km long-distance race of the Asian Road Cycling Championships in Rayong, Thailand.

Supported by her teammates throughout the race, That made a perfect sprint past China's Sun Jiajun and Thailand's Jutatip Maneephan to finish first.

This is her third gold medal of the Asian tournament with the previous two golds earned in 2018 and 2022.
Earlier, Vietnamese cyclist Thach Thi Ngoc Thao secured a gold medal in the women’s U18 road race.

Vietnam finished the 2023 Asian Road Cycling Championships with three gold medals, by Nguyen Thi That, Thach Thi Ngoc Thao, and Nguyen Thi Be Hong and a bronze medal by Pham Le Xuan Loc in the 30km individual event for men.
