(VOVworld) – About 200 members of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and the al-Nusra Front have surrendered to the government army in Barzeh district, north of Damacus city. They also agreed with the government on a ceasefire after nearly one year of fighting.

Under the terms of the truce, Syrians who fled the district can return to Barzeh, where all services will be restored. Much of that city has been destroyed by daily clashes and air strikes that erupted last March.

Some weeks ago, the Syrian government signed a truce with gunmen in Moadamiyet Al Sham which allowed food delivery to the town after several months.
