OIC calls for blasphemy law

The largest association of  Muslim countries, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), proposed establishing international laws prohibiting blasphemy. Secretary General Ekmelledin Ihsanoglu said that the OIC has been seeking the adoption of such a law for over ten years. In turn, the World Council of Churches, based in Geneva, and bringing together representatives of various branches of Christianity, opposes such a bill. According to the organization, the law will only work in favor of Islam and will lead to an increase in religious intolerance. Meanwhile, the protest has continued in many countries opposing the film prophet Mohammed.
