Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue said the Party and State have always paid attention to social welfare, especially for policy beneficiaries and the poor, in pursuance of the goal “Rich people, strong nation, equitable, democratic and civilized society”.

Mr. Hue said he hopes the business community, organizations, and individuals will continue to support the needy nationwide and called on the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) to hold more activities to honor such contributions.

“This year we focus on building houses of great solidarity for the poor. Activities have been launched to support the education of students of alol ages. We’ll increase support for disadvantaged people with the program ‘Everyone deserves a Tet holiday’,” Mr. Hue added.

At the meeting, Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue, VFF President Tran Thanh Man, and other attendees donated to the Fund for the Poor and social welfare by sending SMS messages to the national humanitarian portal 1400.

The meeting was organized by the Central Steering Committee for National Target Programmes and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.
