(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos held a banquet in Vientiane on Friday to celebrate the success of the 12
th National Party Congress and welcome the lunar New Year. Ambassador Nguyen Manh Hung said 2016 is an important year for both Vietnam and Laos as members of the ASEAN community, and Laos takes over the ASEAN presidency. He expressed his belief that with the two countries’ special solidarity and strong determination, Vietnam and Laos will further reap more success in 2016.

Also on Friday, the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt held a ceremony to mark the success of the 12th National Party Congress and welcome the lunar New Year.
On Thursday, the Vietnam’s General Consulate in Houston, Texas, opened a banquet for the local overseas Vietnamese and international friends to welcome the lunar New Year of 2016.
