(VOVworld) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hailed the ongoing visit by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen during a reception in Hanoi on Tuesday, saying that it manifests the deep ties between the two nations.

Mr. Trong expressed his profound gratitude for the support the Cambodia People’s Party, government, and people provided Vietnam during its struggle for national liberation and reunification and during its current national construction and defense. The Vietnamese Party leader asked Hun Sen to give continued assistance to Vietnamese nationals and enterprises to lead a stable life and help with fostering traditional friendship between the two nations.
Mr. Hun Sen spoke highly of the outcomes of cooperation between the two Parties over the past years and thanked Vietnam for providing immense, invaluable, pure, effective and timely support, saving Cambodians from genocide and preventing that regime from coming back as well as promoting current national development. He affirmed that no matter how the world situation changes, the ties between Cambodia and Vietnam will be unchangeable.
