(VOVworld)-Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong on Thursday visited the Singapore Economic Development Board. The EDB is the lead government agency for planning and executing strategies to enhance Singapore's position as a global business centre.

Addressing the event, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong called for further cooperation between the Singaporean agency and Vietnamese policy makers as both countries are striving for a bilateral strategic partnership. The same day, Trong visited Singapore’s Research and Development Complex, the Fusionopolis. He said that both countries considered science and technology as potential area for cooperation and called for more practical and in-depth ties between Vietnam and Singapore in scientific research.
