At a reception for visiting Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen in Hanoi on Friday, Mr. Trong said Vietnam will do its utmost to preserve, protect and nurture the solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with Cambodia, as well as the friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos for the benefits of each country’s people, for peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the wider world. Party leader and President Trong told Prime Minister Hunsen of Vietnam’s foreign policy of independence, diversification and multilateralisation of international relations as well as the country’s unswerving policy of not joining any military alliance, not siding with any country to act against a third country, and not allowing any country to establish a military base in Vietnam’s territory.

Applauding the outcomes of the talks between the two PMs, Mr. Trong asked them to order related ministries and sectors to effectively implement the signed documents. He stressed the need to soon complete documents legalizing the 84% of the land border demarcation and marker planting in 2019 to build a shared borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.

The Cambodian PM expressed his pleasure over the developing ties of the two Parties, States and peoples in the past four decades and assured that his government will work to completely settle issues on the shared land border line and strengthen economic cooperation with Vietnam.
