Party official hosts Tet reception for religious dignitaries

At a reception in Hanoi on Thursday for Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Vice Standing Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Council, Ms. Mai hailed the Sangha for conducting charitable activities and joining hands with the Party and State to help poor people and ethnic minority groups to enjoy a happy traditional Lunar New Year festival.

At a meeting with Priest Tran Xuan Manh, Vice President and Secretary General of the Committee for the Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics, Ms. Mai said she hopes the committee will promote its role as a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to make more active contributions to the Catholic community and national development.
