Party, State leaders present Tet gifts to disadvantaged people

(VOVWORLD) - Child cancer patients from disadvantaged backgrounds need more treatment assistance, said National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan while visiting the Vietnam National Children’s Hospital in Hanoi on Tuesday on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

Ms. Ngan said the Party and State always pay great attention to people’s health care. The NA Chairwoman presented gifts to child cancer patients and shared sympathy for the pain they have endured.

On Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, policy beneficiary families, and families of Agent Orange/dioxin victims in Nam Dinh province. Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue visited the families of fallen soldiers, war invalids, and poor people in Bac Giang province.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Phung Quoc Hien paid a New Year visit to Lai Chau province’s Party Committee, authorities, and people living in the border area of Phong Tho district, Lai Chau province.
