Addressing the assembly, president Sang spoke highly of the achievements of the people’s police in studying and implementing Uncle Ho’s six teachings. Sang stressed that, in the current situation, people’s police officials should have political determination and be absolutely loyal to the country and people. They needed to be well-trained, brave, and resilient in order to remain a core factor in national defense and the maintaining of social order. President Truong Tan Sang said: “Efforts should continue to promote the movement “the people’s police study and implement Uncle Ho’s six teachings” along with the movement to study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s moral example and the implementation of resolutions of the 4^th Plenum of the 11^th Party Central Committee. The police should continue to fight moral degradation, corruption and wastefulness.”
