Pings detected in search for black box of AirAsia flight QZ8501

(VOVworld) - Indonesia search and rescue teams hunting for the black box flight recorders of the AirAsia passenger jet detected pings on Friday, an official said. Santoso Sayogo, an investigator with the National Transportation Safety Committee, said it appeared that the flight recorders were no longer in the tail. Divers are now trying to locate them. The tail was found Wednesday on the sea bed about 30 km from the plane's last known location.
