(VOVworld) -  The Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) said on Tuesday that Israel’s newly approved law legalizing 4,000 Jewish settlement homes in the Palestine-occupied West Bank actually legalizes what they call the “theft” of Palestinian land.

The PLO stressed that passing such a law demonstrates Israel’s will to destroy any chances for a political solution, adding that Israeli settlement negates peace and the possibility of the two-state solution.

AFP reported on Monday that Israel struck a number of positions of Islamic movement Hamas in the Gaza Strip in retaliation to a "projectile" fired from the Palestinian enclave to a border area with Israel.
