(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has asked the Ministry of Information and Communications to transition the Multi-Media Communications Corporation (VTC) to the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and quickly fine-tune the apparatus and operation.

The merger is part of the plan on development and management of national journalism until 2025.

Once merged, VTC and VOV’s National Assembly television channel will bring the voice of the people to NA forums and bring voters’ opinions to the Party, State and NA.

VOV has been commissioned to manage and produce content for the NA television channel whose first program was broadcast on January 6th.
