PM meets with Australian Senate President, Liberal Party leader

(VOVWORLD)-Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said the official visit to Australia by the Vietnamese high-level delegation demonstrates Vietnam’s desire to consolidate its relationship with Australia while strengthening cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, thus opening up new prospects for future cooperation.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh made the statement while receiving President of the Australian Senate Sue Lines in Canberra on Thursday.

Lines said she was glad that the two countries established a comprehensive strategic partnership during this visit and looked forward to deepening their relationship in the near future.The Australian Senate chief said she will soon visit Vietnam to realize the cooperation agreement between the two parliaments signed in 2022.

While receiving Peter Dutton, leader of the Australian Liberal Party, the same day, Prime Minister Chinh said he hopes the Australian Liberal Party would continue to support policies that facilitate the Vietnamese community living, working, and studying in Australia.

Dutton pledged to further enrich the recently established Vietnam-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the benefit of the two peoples, for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
