(VOVworld) – Hai Phong city’s 5^th Red Flamboyant Flower Festival opened on Friday. This annual event is intended to promote the city’s traditional values and history.

In his address, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised Hai Phong’s important achievements in economics, society, national defense, and security over the last 61 years, adding that the city has gradually become an industrial, trade, service, and tourism center in the northern region. He said the city should continue to promote itself to attract more resources for socio-economic and tourism development and international integration. He also called for continued reforms to create an attractive, favorable, and safe business environment. Prime Minister Phuc also attended the ground-breaking ceremony of the Hon Dau high-end tourism and resort complex. Construction of the 250 million USD complex will be completed in 2021.
