Pope Francis urges Donald Trump to work for peace
(VOVWORLD) - Pope Francis urged US President Donald Trump to be a peacemaker during their meeting on Wednesday at the Vatican.

Pope Francis gave the US president a small sculptured olive tree, a symbol of peace. They acknowledged a shared commitment to promoting religious freedom around the world. The Vatican hopes to collaborate with the Catholic Church in the United States and engage in service to serve the people in health care, education, and support for immigrants.
Following his trip to the Vatican, President Trump and First Lady Melania traveled to Brussels on the same day. Trump will visit the EU and NATO headquarters and attend an EU-NATO Summit on Thursday.
