At a reception in Hanoi on Friday for a delegation of the Federation who is in Vietnam for the 14th annual Southeast Asia Red Cross and Red Crescent Leadership Meeting in Hanoi this week, the President called for more support in community-based disaster management, emergency response, climate change adaptation, and development of the Red Cross and Red Crescent network.

Xavier Castellanos, Director of the Asia-Pacific for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, reiterated the Federation’s commitment to helping Vietnam’s Red Cross Society in undertaking its tasks.
