Mr. Quang added: “The press should honor its role in orienting the public; linking the Party, government, and people; and participating in social oversight and criticism. The press should praise exemplary models; contribute to the fight against corruption, wastefulness, and degradation in politics, ideology, morality, and lifestyle; and help to consolidate the people’s trust in the Party and State. The press should be proactive in criticizing incorrect viewpoints and crushing the schemes of hostile, reactionary forces against the Party and State.”
