President inspects police’s combat readiness ahead of Tet

(VOVWORLD) -President Vo Van Thuong on Monday visited and inspected the combat readiness of officers and soldiers of the Police Guard High Command and the Mobile Police High Command in Hanoi, ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet) holidays.

Wishing a happy new year to the People's Public Security Guard force, the President urged for greater efforts to ensure security and safety for Party and State leaders, major national and international events held in Vietnam, and activities of Party and State leaders abroad.

He asked the Public Security sector to strive to build a People's Public Security Guard force that is "truly clean, strong, regular, elite, and modern", fitting the new situation by 2025.

Visiting the Mobile Police High Command, President Thuong requested building a cleaner, stronger, more regular, elite, and modern force. In any circumstances and conditions, security, order and social safety must be firmly guaranteed, he said.
