Putin said the majority of the Wagner fighters are Russian patriots, who are devoted to their country and people. They proved it with their bravery on the battlefield, particularly in their efforts to liberate Donbass and Novorossiya.

However, it will take time, Putin said, including giving those who made mistakes a chance to reflect that their actions are strongly rejected by society and could bring tragic consequences to the Russian state.

Putin also expressed his gratitude to the soldiers and commanders of the Wagner group who made the right decision to halt their actions. Additionally, he thanked Belarus President Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko for his efforts and contributions to reaching a peaceful resolution.
