President receives outgoing Thai ambassador

(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang received outgoing Thai ambassador Panyarak Poolthup on Wednesday. He praised the ambassador’s contributions to friendship between the two countries during his stay in Vietnam and conveyed his greetings to the King and the royal family of Thailand. He said he believes two-way trade will reach 20 billion USD by 2020. Ambassador Poolthup pledged to continue promoting relations between Vietnam and Thailand after finishing his mission in Vietnam.
The Thai ambassador was received by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh the same day. Mr. Minh said Vietnam values its relations with Thailand and wants to deepen their strategic partnership in the coming years.
