President Tran Dai Quang attends Vietnam-Singapore Business Forum

(VOVworld)- On Monday, President Tran Dai Quang attended the Vietnam-Singapore Business Forum which attracted the participation of nearly 500 Vietnamese and Singaporean businesses.

In his address, President Tran Dai Quang said Vietnam is persistent with the goal of ensuring rapid sustainable economic growth based on macro-economic stability, reforming growth models, and effectively participating in the global production network and value chain. He said Singapore is Vietnam’s third largest investment partner with total investment capital of more than 38 billion USD. Quang said: “During the last 40 years, Vietnam and Singapore have developed their relationship to Strategic Partnership since 2013. Vietnam was grateful for the late Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew and Singaporean leaders for their great contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic development policies and promoting bilateral cooperation”.

President Tran Dai Quang said he hoped that the Vietnam-Singapore strategic partnership would be heightened to tap the two countries’ potential and demands. At the forum, the Vietnamese President witnessed the signing of a cooperative agreement between Singapore Business federation and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam or Vietcombank.
