President Truong Tan Sang receives outgoing Panamanian Ambassador

(VOVworld) - Vietnam wants to strengthen cooperation with Panama in maritime trade, fisheries and ship building. President Truong Tan Sang told the outgoing Panamanian Ambassador Antonio Young Virzy in Hanoi on Tuesday that both countries should promote the signing of a new cooperative agreement to raise two way trade turnover by several billion dollars. He hailed the importance of the early finalization of a double taxation avoidance agreement between Vietnam and Panama. The Ambassador said Panama always treasured its relations with Vietnam and wanted to share its experience in infrastructure, agricultural and maritime development. Panama’s recognition of Vietnam’s market economy and existing bilateral economic and trade cooperation deal would be the firm foundation to boost bilateral ties.
