(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang had a working session with the steering committee for the southwestern region on Wednesday to review local socio-economic development and measures to ensure national defense and security. He said that the committee should cooperate with relevant agencies to develop the Mekong river delta’s potential in agriculture and fisheries. He added that priority should also be given to crop restructuring and the application of scientific advances in production.
