Prime Minister meets Overseas Vietnamese in New Zealand

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife Le Thi Bich Tran met with officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand, on Sunday.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister said the Party and State always determine that the Vietnamese community abroad, including the Vietnamese community in New Zealand, is an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation.

He asked the Vietnamese community in New Zealand to stay united and build a strong, developed and united community.

Prime Minister Chinh expressed his hope that Overseas Vietnamese will uphold their national pride, strive for excellence, actively integrate, comply with the law and contribute to the development of the host country.

He called for more efforts to preserve national cultural identity and Vietnamese language, take more practical actions for the homeland, and contribute to national construction and development.
