Prime Minister meets with voters in Hai Phong

(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen tan Dung met with voters in An Duong district in Hai Phong on Tuesday. He briefed them on the outcomes of the National Assembly session and listened to their opinions and suggestions on a number of issues.

Prime Minister Dung said the government is determined to achieve this year’s targets set by the Party, State and National Assembly. Concerning the revised Land Law, he said state management should be tightened, ineffective projects should be revoked and new models of cooperatives should be replicated to boost local development. He stressed that the 19 criteria for the building of new rural areas aimed to industrialize and modernize agricultural production and ensure sustainable rural development. Prime Minister Dung said he will ask the relevant ministries and sectors to study and settle voters’ proposals regarding social insurance, reducing lending interest rates for the poor, improving the lives of pre-school teachers and the quality of textbooks. He also asked local authorities to speed up the progress of important infrastructure projects including construction of the Hanoi-Hai Phong highway.
