(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung left Hanoi on Sunday for the Hague, the Netherlands, to attend the 2014 Nuclear Security Summit at the invitation of Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. Prime Minister Dung’s presence at the meeting shows Vietnam’s responsibility and dynamism in joining the international efforts in reducing threats facing nuclear security and safety. It also demonstrates Vietnam’s consistent policy on using nuclear power for peaceful purposes. After the summit, Prime Minister Dung will pay official visits to Cuba and the Republic of Haiti. The visits aim to reflect Vietnam’s respect for relations with traditional friends in Latin America and its hope to boost bilateral ties with these countries in economics, trade and investment.
