Voters voiced their support for the Prime Minister’s determination to build a government which creates favorable conditions for better lives, stays incorruptible, and serves the people. Mr. Phuc said the government’s ultimate goal is to provide jobs for the people, increase productivity and creativity, protect the environment, create social fairness, act promptly, and be held accountable. The Prime Minister added that this spirit should be thoroughly grasped from central to local levels so as to make full use of Vietnam’s limited resources. He said: “The central government should provide momentum for development and act aggressively for the people. It’s more important that local administrations and the whole political system should thoroughly acquire this spirit and act to remove barriers so that the people and business can develop production and contribute to the country. The government should be incorruptible, dedicated, and transparent. It should serve the people instead of harassing them. Administrations at all levels should serve the people better”.

Prime Minister Phuc put out measures to accelerate administrative reform and reduce costs for enterprises, particularly small and medium-sized ones. He also stressed the importance of human resource development, citing education and training as foundations for development.
