The PM said the Vietnamese Government has reformed the business and investment environment to attract investors, including those from Sweden. He said the to-be-signed Vietnam-EU free trade agreement would open up more cooperation opportunities for business communities of the two countries.
The Prime Minister noted that relations between Vietnam and Sweden are developed in all fields, but their economic cooperation remains modest.
Two-way trade is still failing to match its potential, totally just 1.2 billion USD. Phuc urged the two sides to continue boosting cooperation in order to significantly increase that figure.
Linde said she expects Vietnamese-Swedish development cooperation to grow into a strategic partnership. Sweden will further strengthen cooperation with Vietnam, particularly in health, education, science and technology, economy, trade, and investment. She said she was accompanied by a delegation with the biggest-ever number of businesses seeking investment and cooperation opportunities in Vietnam.
