During his working visit to Ba Ria Vung Tau province’s Cai Mep Port on Friday, the Prime Minister called for more advanced technology investment to raise productivity. Covering an area of 48ha and with 600m-long wharves, the port has a capacity of more than 1.1 million TEU.

On the 70th War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, the Prime Minister visited the Long Dat nursing centre for war invalids and revolutionary contributors in the southern province. He expressed his gratitude to war invalids who devoted their life to the fight for national liberation and international missions. He said:“The Party and the State are consistently implementing the policy of caring for national contributors, regarding it as a basic and important task of the country’s social welfare system. Despite difficulties in national context, the Party and State have improved policies to consider the caring of invalids and martyrs family members an important task.”

Late the same day, the Prime Minister worked with Ba Ria Vung Tau leaders on socio-economic development tasks. He called on the province to develop supportive industry and high-tech agriculture, attract strong investors, and pay attention to socio-economic plans of Con Dao island district.
