Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urges acceleration of HCMC's infrastructure projects

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Tuesday visited workers and inspected the progress at a number of construction sites in southern provinces.

Inspecting the construction of Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 3, which passes through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Long An, Prime Minister Chinh urged for the acceleration to complete the project early on schedule while ensuring its quality and safety.

Regarding the Can Gio international transshipment port project, the Prime Minister stressed the need to make a thorough environmental impact assessment and consult with scientists to protect the environment, especially the Can Gio Biosphere Reserve.

The same day, Mr. Chinh visited people in Loc An-Binh Son resettlement area, Dong Nai province, and inspected the construction of a passenger terminal under the Long Thanh International Airport project. He extended New Year wishes to officials and employees participating in the project.

On the afternoon of the same day, PM Chinh attended a ceremony to welcome international ships and give the order to handle the first cargo in the Year of the Dragon at Tan Cang - Cai Mep international port (TCIT) in Phu My commune, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
