Prime Minister receives new Egyptian, Sudanese ambassadors
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc congratulated Egypt for the successful presidential election in March 2018, saying the Vietnamese government treasures the traditional friendship with the government and people of Egypt.

Mr. Phuc made the statement at a reception for newly-appointed Ambassador of Egypt to Vietnam Mahmoud Hassan Nayel in Hanoi on Wednesday. The Prime Minister said Vietnam wants to boost cooperation with Egypt in agriculture to increase bilateral trade revenue. He also suggested that both countries strengthen cooperation in oil and gas and connectivity between localities, and jointly hold friendship activities to mark the 55th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2018.

The same day, receiving Mohamed Elmurtada Mubarak Ismail Siraq, new ambassador of Sudan to Vietnam, PM Phuc called for increased trade exchanges between the two countries after the US lifted sanctions on Sudan in 2017. He said he hopes both sides will continue to support each other at international forums and sign agreements to finalize legal framework for bilateral cooperation.
