(VOVworld) - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida met with head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh in Tokyo on Wednesday.

During the meeting, PM Abe said Japan will give high priority to the comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam, noting that he will direct Japan’s authorized agencies to actively assist Vietnam in training officials. Foreign Minister Kishida said he will do his best to foster the relations with Vietnam. He applauded Vietnam’s role at regional and international forums, pledging support for Vietnam to host next year’s APEC Summit.

Mr. Chinh praised bilateral collaboration, particularly investment, trade and manpower training. He asked the Japanese government to continue assistance in human resources development, administrative reform, and building a clean and effective State apparatus.
