(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has been assigned to urgently gather public opinions and streamline procedures on granting work permits to foreigners working in Vietnam.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha’s conclusion at a meeting in Hanoi on Thursday, focus should be placed on online permit issuance and transitioning from "pre-check" to "post-check" to ensure transparency and convenience.
The meeting discussed a draft Decree on revising the Government’s Decree regulating foreigners working in Vietnam and the recruitment and management of Vietnamese working for foreign organisations and individuals in Vietnam.
The Deputy PM said revising such legal regulations is a crucial, complex, and sensitive matter that pertains to national security and external relations.
It requires thorough preparations, especially obtaining feedback from stakeholders, notably diplomatic agencies, international organisations, among others.
