Prompt post-COVID-19 scenarios need to be developed

(VOVWORLD) - The global economy and the Vietnamese economy in particularly are heavily hurt by the COVID-19 epidemic.

The Vietnamese government has so far successfully contained the epidemic to enable the country to restore its economy. Speaking to VOV on the sidelines of the ongoing National Assembly session, NA Deputy Luu Binh Nhuong for Ben Tre province praised the government’s disease control measures and urged for practical measures and effective scenarios to restore the Vietnamese economy in the post-COVID-19 period.

Deputy Do Van Sinh of Quang Tri province said the government has submitted to the NA a draft plan of obtaining a growth rate of 4.5% adding that the plan is positive but still depends on the world’s disease control efforts. He called for further support for SMEs as part to achieve the target growth rate.
