In an interview on the “60 Minutes” program of CBS TV channel on Sunday, the Emir accused Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt of attempting to change Qatar’s regime with political and economic sanctions on Doha over the past 5 months. But the Qatari ruler said he wanted an end to the dispute. Emir Tamin said that during a meeting at a UN conference in September, US President Donald Trump had proposed to host talks between Qatar and the four Arab countries. Mr. Tamin said he is ready for the talks but has not received any response from the rest of the group.
